AIM OF THE TOURNAMENT
Promote basketball as a sport Promote healthy lifestyle among the young people through sports activities. Establish in Estonia International children´s and youth basketball tournament, which will take place every year and where Estonian teams can take size of their peers from other countries. Bring Estonia as a traditional basketball country to the International map.

Tallinn Nord Cup gallery will be shown in tournament official homepage . Tournament organizer have the right to use and spread the photos which are taken during the tournament.
TALLINN NORD CUP RULES
The international children´s and youth basketball tournament Tallinn Nord Cup is following the International laws of the game provided by FIBA.
NB! If there are conflicting claim in the FIBA rules and Tallinn Nord Cup’i tournamen rules and regulations, the tournament guide shall apply.
Live brodcasts can only be made by an official partner of the Nord Cup.
USE OF PLAYERS IN THE TOURNAMENT
In the boys and girls agegroup it is allowed to use max.14 players in the team, 2 of them may be one year older.
PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN SEVERAL TEAMS
During the tournament Tallinn Nord Cup , it is not allowed for the players to play in more than in one age group. If this rule is ignored, the player who violeted the rule will be disqualified from the tournament and the game where the rules were violeted will be cancelled. The game result where the rules were violeted will result in -/+ loss for the violeting team.
TOURNAMENT SYSTEM
Tallinn Nord Cup is divided into groups by ages.
In the group stage, the teams are divided into 3 or more team groups, to provide the best tournament format for agegroups. During the group stage the points are allocated: win 2 points, loss 1 point and forfit 0 point.
If some teams get equal scores in the group stage, the final ranking is determined by:
- head to head game winner
- 3 and more teams, amount of points of the games between each other
- the differnce of the thrown baskets between the games of each ohter
- the differnce of the thrown baskets of all agegroup
- drawing
In case of after the group stage there is no clear ranking order, then all the involved team’s representatives must come to the tournament secretariat. The head referee will conduct a coin toss-up which will decide the final ranking of the teams. All places will be played out during the tournament.
The organizer reserves the right depending of the amount of teams to put together the challenge and maingroup teams.
NUMBER OF GAMES DURING THE TOURNAMENT
The organizing commitee will guarantee at least 5 games to every participant.
JURY
Possible disagreements and protests will be solved by a three-member jury. The jury includes head referee of teh tournament and two members from the organize commitee. The jury’s final decision cannot be appealed!
PROTEST
Protest is directed against the validity of the result of the match.
Protest has to base on whether the player has the right to participate or not, or on serious violation of the rules by the referee or on some other incident that affected the result of the match. Protest, which is not fixated in the game protocol will not be further discussed.
Protest must be submitted in writing by a team representative (a person who has been designated on the registration form as team leader) no later than 30 minutes after the end of the protested match.
Protest has to be submitted to the organizing office.
All protests which are reported against irregular activity has to be consulted with the game referee before he leaves the field.
A general protest against the whole opposing team is not acceptable. Protests can not be submitted against the fact decisions what the referee makes.
Protest against the yellow or red card or against the removal of player from the field after the referee has showed two cards, is only allowed if referee made a mistake against the corresponding player.
Protest processing fee is 75 EUR. This amount will be refunded if the protest is successful. The jury’s final desicion can not be appealed.
REFEREES
All the referees are accepted by the Estonian Basketball Association or the head referee of the tournament.
AWARDS
Teams who won the first, second and third place will be awarded with trophies and medals.
MEDICINE/MEDICAL AID
The organizing commitee of Tallinn Nord Cup basketball tournament will not take any responsibility for injuries, which happen during the football tournament. Please make sure that all your players are insured both on and off the playing field. Tallinn Nord Cup does not carry any group insurance protecting participants in case of injury, illness, etc. Each tournament place has a designated first-aid provider.
WARNINGS AND REMOVALS
A player removed from the field during the game will be disqualified for the next match which is held during the Tallinn Nord Cup tournament. The referee must submit a written application to the tournament head referee, who makes the final decision. The decision of the head referee is final and can not be appealed.The decision will be notified to the team representative specified on the registration form.
In case of racism, violence and bullying the organizer has the right to remove the team from the tournament.
WARRANTY
By participating in Tallinn Nord Cup basketball tournament, the team confirms being aware of all the rules and laws of the tournament.
REGISTRATION OF THE TEAM
All teams have to submit the complete registration form to the tournament organizing commitee before their first competitive match when arriving to the tournament.
The representative is obligated to submit all the players documents (passports or ID cards) with the completed registration form if necessary.
The players not listed on the registration form cannot participate in the tournament. Teams are not allowed to add more players to the registration form during the tournament.
The representative of each team is required to sign a statement, confirming the arrival to the tournament, acceptance of the Tallinn Nord Cup 2025 rules and the team’s awareness of possible changes. After registration every team is given an envelope which consists of wristbands, tournament rules, schedule and if necessary bus schedule.
NB! A team, who has not met the aforementioned demands, will not be allowed to play in the tournament.
START OF THE MATCH AND ITS ACCOMPANYING RULES
The team is obligated to be on the match field 15 minutes before the match starts.
Every team has to be able to present the field referee all of the players documents if necessary which can verify the age of players during every game (10 minutes before the game and 10 minutes after the game).
NB! Every player has to have his/her identification document with him/her every game during Tallinn Nord Cup . If the uniforms of both teams are in the same colour, the team who has been listed as the second team has to change shirts or wear vests. Vests are guaranteed by the tournament organizing commitee.este.
STATE OF EMERGENCY, TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT
The tournament jury has the right to make changes in match times and locations, if it is necessary and an inevitable event requires it! NB! Tournament organizers are not responsible for theft during the tournament.
FORCE MAJORE
In the event that the tournament can’t be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the tournament organizers (force majore) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence or the tournament organizers, the tournament organizers cannot be held liable by the delegations for any damages, costs or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial losses etc. Under these circumstances, the tournament organizers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration and accommodation fee and to use it for a future tournament, or to reimburse the delegations after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the tournament and which could not be recovered from third parties. Tallinn Nord Cup is in no way responsible for injury or economic loss which may arise in the case of war, warlike events, civil war, revolution or civil disturbances or because of the actions of the authorities, strikes, lockouts, blockades or similar events.
PAYMENT
Tallinn Nord Cup team fee with the accommodation package is 170 EUR /per team (to which is added the price of the accommodation package per participant, according to the selected accommodation).
Tallinn Nord Cup team fee without the accommodation package is 170 EUR /per team, plus participation fee 25 EUR /participants (no meals).
Tallinn Nord Cup team fee is paid to after team registration according to the invoice and the dates on it.
Payment of the team fee quarantines the team participation in the tournament and is non-refundable.
Accommodation packages and participation fee payment deadline is 15.03.2025.
If the participation in the tournament will be cancelled before 31.03.2025, accommodation packages and participation fees will be returned.
